The Theresa Hooks Memorial STEM Scholarship is an endowed scholarship managed by the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF)  Contributions are invested to ensure the scholarship retains its value in perpetuity, and the scholarships created by the endowment are funded through the income generated by the endowment.

The NCCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so all gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

We are happy to announce that the 2018 award will total $2500 for one graduating Eastern Alamance High School senior pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field of study at a four-year university.  Our goal is to steadily increase the endowed fund through donations so that we may increase the yearly award and/or increase the number of awardees.  Your donation to the Theresa Hooks Memorial STEM Scholarship will go a long way in helping us reach this goal.  We greatly appreciate your support!

How to Donate Online

Online donations can be made to the NCCF (debit/credit card, Paypal) and directed to the Theresa Hooks Memorial STEM Scholarship by following the directions below.

  2. Enter donation amount 

  3. Select your donation frequency

  4. Within the box labeled "Please enter the name of the fund you wish your donation to benefit" enter Theresa Hooks Memorial STEM Scholarship, Fund 1704

  5. Enter your payment information and click DONATE NOW

  6. Be sure to save your receipt for your financial records

How to Donate by Mail/Fax

​Donations can be made to the NCCF (check or credit card) and directed to the Theresa Hooks Memorial STEM Scholarship by following the directions below.

  2. Check "I would like to donate to a specific fund"

  3. Check "Other NCCF Fund" and list: Theresa Hooks Memorial STEM Scholarship, Fund 1704 

  4. Your completed form can be faxed or mailed with your payment as indicated in the form

    • If sending a check, please write the scholarship name on the memo line of the check​

  5. A receipt will be mailed to you from the NCCF for your financial records
